I met Robb Anderson of Paragon Asheville Steel at the Blade Show '07 and have begun doing the hand grinding of some blades in the Paragon collection like the double-edge automatic shown here. These blades were made in the USA and were meant to be finished in the USA, and that's what we did! If you are a dealer and are interested, contact Robb at
Thought you might enjoy seeing other knives I have made through the years-
Here is a current model I produced for Meyerco, a Blackie Collins' Design. about 75 have been produced.
Shown here from the Case 1994 catalog are the 100% handmade knives I produced for CASE. I produced ALL (approximately twelve-hundred) of these beautiful knives for them with much pride. It was a helluva lotta work; there were times when I didn't leave the shop or house for 6 weeks, but I truly enjoyed creating each and every one them. Even though they all appeared to be exactly alike, I KNOW THEY AREN'T!

As per a customer- My rendition of a Herron Model 7
ladder pattern damascus by the cloisters, dyed giraffe bone handles.
Here's one of my latest full custom work. I made this for a very big man. His only request was that I make him a Bowie-style knife with stag in 440-C Stainless Steel. I made it out of 1/4 inch, so it is STOUT. The blade alone is 7 1/2 inches and it is 13 inches overall.
My latest full custom- Here's a warthog tusk carved by John Kirven that I finished it with a 3/32" 440-C Stainless steel blade of 5 and 1/4" long in a fine mirror finish. brass guard. Overall, it's 9 3/8". The total weight is 6.6 ounces. I enjoy these unique challenges once in a while. The tusk was already carved and it was tedious work to notch it and pin it, but I was really pleased at how it all turned out.... So was John Kirven.
This is a custom blade I made for John Kirven. He carved the handle out of Elk horn and I placed a mirror-finished, 4 7/8" 440-C stainless steel blade on it. Overall length is 9 9/16" and has a full hidden tang. Weight is 8.1 ounces.
