For 30 years, I have worked in the Shadows and helped to build fine reputations for some great companies by doing piece work, production work, finish work, right up to full custom work. Everything used to be proudly labeled "Made in the USA" and the like, but it seems so many good designs go the way of overseas production. So, I decided the time has come to step out of the shadows and put my abilities as a knifemaker to the test.
Within these pages, you will discover what happens when a Southern-American craftsman combines simplistic form with function. Making knives is not just what I do for a living; It's my purest passion. There's a little bit of me in each blade I make. If you have a minute, take a look at my work. Be sure to check out what's Available NOW...
Every knife is 100% guaranteed in 2 ways- They are 100% handmade- right down to the pins, springs and bolsters AND they are 100% guaranteed (as long as you use them for their intended purposes) for as long as I am alive. Handles are made from a variety of materials, and range from the finest stags and hardwoods to a variety of Micartas.
I make all of my knives with stock removal method. All are a hollow-grind, unless a customer requests otherwise. I do my own heat-treating and prefer 440-C Stainless, but do use other steels when requested, when possible.
Thank you for taking the time to visit. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

I guess you could say I have paid my dues when it comes to knifemaking. In the late '70's when I started out, I worked with Danny Thornton, who did fine work for companies such as Texas Knife Supply and Blackie Collins. Man, you name it and we done it. There was a fine custom piece called the QuickSilver Survival Knife-- I'd say that was one of the first ever custom small production runs.
I have done work for Benchmark, Blackie Collins, Gerber, Meyerco, Case, Wenoka, Bill Adams, the list goes on.
One of the deals that I am most proud of is with the Case Company in 1994 when I single-handedly produced 1200 completely custom hunting knives for them!
I'd like to show the world what I have learned along the way. I will probably always have production work along the way, but I think I can make a very fine knife-- whether it be folder or fixed, no matter what the task. Throughout all the years I've always done custom work for friends and family, especially gifts, but I've never done custom solely for profit on this scale before. See other knives I have made...
